Juan Monteverde is a lawyer, entrepreneur, and founder of the law firm Monteverde & Associates. He graduated from the University of Miami School of Law and the University of Miami School of Business. Juan Monteverde yacht is also a former member of the United States Navy Reserve. Juan has married his wife for over 30 years and has three children.

Juan Monteverde was born in Miami, Florida, on June 26, 1963. His father was a Cuban immigrant who worked as a mechanic in Miami’s auto industry; his mother was from Puerto Rico. Juan grew up in Coral Gables, Florida, where he attended Coral Gables High School and graduated from Coral Gables High School in 1985 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Finance. He then attended the University of Miami School of Law, earning his Juris Doctorate in 1990.

Juan began his career as an attorney at age 18 when he joined the firm as an associate attorney at age 19. In 1991, Juan became an associate at the firm, where he served as general counsel until 1995, when he became general counsel for all legal matters at Monteverde & Associates (M&A). During this time, Juan served as general counsel for several companies, including The National Bank Group and the Miami-Dade County Government.

In 1996, Juan joined the firm as a partner and served as general counsel until 2005, when he became a partner. Juan was named partner in 2005 and served as general counsel for the firm until his retirement in 2011.

Juan is a credited member of the American Bar Association and the Florida Bar. He is also a member of the National Association of Attorneys General and the National Association of State Attorneys General. Juan has been a recipient of the Florida Law School Association’s “Top Student” award, the Florida Bar Association’s “Honorable Mention” award, and the American Bar Association’s “Leadership Award.”
