During his tenure at Williams Lee, McGaghey has been responsible for all aspects of finance, accounting and taxes [including client service] during most of his time with the company. Prior to being named to this post in January 2005, he served as Assistant Controller from May 1998 until January 2005. During this time, he also served as interim Controller for the company. Prior to joining the company, McGaghey worked in public accounting for a public accounting firm in Denver. He began his career with Coopers and Lybrand LLP in their Atlanta office where he worked on a variety of public and privately held clients. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia State University and holds a CPA license in the State of Colorado.

Mr. McGaghey has been an integral part of Williams Lee since it was launched fifteen years ago as well as having provided financial advice to many closely held companies during that time span. He was named to the board of directors in 1999, and has served on the audit committee since its inception. He is very involved with the local community through service on many advisory boards, charities, and other organizations.
Prior to his role as CFO for Williams Lyman, McGaghey worked for a large public accounting firm in Denver, CO. McGaghey graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor’s degree. He also serves as a member of the National Association of Accountants’ Board of Directors and is a Professional Associate Member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountant(AICPA).
McGaghey has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer effective February 6, 2017. He was named Interim President & CEO in February 2016. He served as CFO since January 2014; prior to that, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
