Frances Townsend is an American Business woman and lawyer. She was born December 28th, 1961 in Mineola, New York. She is married to John Townsend and has 2 children with him. She recieved her bachelor’s degree at American University in Washington, D.C and her law degree from the University of San Diego. Frances Townsend has bumped shoulders with many important people in her life. She used to work for Rudolph Giuliani for the U.S Attorney General’s office in 1988 and Janet Reno during Bill Clinton’s 8-years as president. She also worked for former President George W. Bush from 2004 to 2007 as Homeland Security Advisor.

Frances Townsend was employed at CNN as a contributor.She was very vocal about the way that the State Department has handled the terrorist attack in Libya in 2012 and how the United States has handled terrorist attacks since 9/11.She also writes a lot of articles about cyber security and homeland security for other news organizations such as “Military News” and “The Hill”.
