Successful lawyer Damien Granderson’s vision is to make the world a better place. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, the entertainment attorney attended St. John’s University on scholarship where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and sociology.
He is also honorary chairperson for the Alumni Association (AA) at his alma mater, St. John’s University and serves as president of the AA board of directors as well as chairperson for the Development Committee there while supporting other alumni events at his college during school breaks. Damien Granderson is also a member of the St. John’s University President’s Council, which encourages and supports fundraising drives for the University.
After graduating from St. John’s where Damien Granderson was active on campus and in the community volunteering at several organizations both on and off campus. Then, he decided to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. In 1989, Granderson joined the Douglas A. Zell Company (DAZ) a talent agency in Manhattan’s TriBeCa district and was hired by its co-founder, Doug Zell.
Several suitors sought Mr. Granderson’s services including Scott Rudin (producer), Joel Rice (producer) and several others in the industry. He was determined to end his affiliation with DAZ (Bfa).
That’s when he formed his own company known as Granderson Entertainment LLC providing services to filmmakers and other professionals in the entertainment industry. His clients have included John Gotti, Jr., the son of the late Gambino crime family boss, John Gotti. Damien Granderson has also worked in television on several of the major networks including HBO with The Sopranos and Sex and the City.
